According to a survey conducted in May 2021, 35 percent of Mexican mobile phone owners aged between 18 and 26 years old who had TikTok installed on their mobile phones claimed to use the app regularly. The usage decreased accordingly to the age of the respondents, as only 7.7 percent of respondents older than 57 years claimed to use the video-based social platform actively.
