In 2019, the refinery production volume of gold in Switzerland was estimated to have amounted to 2,100 metric tons. Although it does not domestically produce gold from mines, Switzerland is one of the world's largest gold refining countries in the world. Accordingly, Switzerland is the world's largest importer of gold (raw gold to be refined there), and the world's largest exporter of refined gold.
