Germany was the world's largest importer of palladium (unwrought or in powder form) as of 2022, having accounted for nearly 16.4 percent of global palladium imports based on value, which equated to over four billion U.S. dollars. Japan was close behind, having imported a 14.8 percent share of global unwrought or powder form palladium that year.
Global palladium imports had a total value of 24.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2022, down from 28.1 billion U.S. dollars in 2021.
