According to a survey conducted across selected Latin American countries in 2022, Peruvians were the most likely to change their transport mode to tackle climate change. At that time, 65 percent of the respondents agreed they were likely to walk, cycle, or use public transport instead of driving a motor vehicle for that purpose. In contrast, 45 percent of respondents in Brazil were likely to do the same.
