According to a survey conducted in selected Latin American countries in 2022, more than seven out of ten respondents across all countries agreed that the government had a great deal or fair amount of responsibility to reduce their contribution to climate change by reducing carbon emissions. Colombians were the ones who mostly agreed to that, with 86 percent of the respondents. Meanwhile, at least 79 percent of respondents in all countries surveyed also recognized that individuals around the world had a great responsibility to lower carbon emissions as a way to reduce their contribution to climate change.
