In the 2023/24 crop year, 361 thousand hectares of sesame were expected to be planted in Brazil. Compared to two crop years, when there were about 214 thousand hectares dedicated to sesame cultivation, there was an increase of about 69 percent. Furthermore, that same year, sesame production is expected to reach around 174 thousand metric tons.
