According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2020, around 56 percent of respondents with disabilities stated that the reason they did not leave the house was because their disability made it uncomfortable to do so. Around 11.7 percent of respondents avoided going outside due to the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
