Apple App Store: global app takedown requests received 2018-2021, by violation

During the second half of 2021, the Apple App Store received 69 app removal requests from global government agencies due to alleged legal violations. Additionally, the company received one removal request for alleged violations of the Apple App Store policies. This represents an increase from the first half of 2021, when governmental agencies worldwide submitted 45 app removal requests for alleged legal violations, as well as three app removal requests for alleged platform policy violations.
