A February 2022 survey revealed that the leading reason for online shoppers from the United States to abandon their shopping carts was due to unexpected shipping costs, with 36 percent of surveyed respondents citing this issue. Additionally, the lack of coupon or promo codes not working was the second-most common reason, with 26 percent.
