According to a survey of voters in the United States conducted in June 2022, 32 percent of respondents would support a law that would impede app stores from giving preferential treatment to their own apps in search results, while 30 percent of respondents would oppose such a measure. Respondents also appear to not oppose app developers being required to pay commission fees between 15 percent and 30 percent of their revenues, with 35 percent of respondents reporting they would not support a law imposing this restriction on app stores.
