Value of loans to financial corporations in the euro area 2023, by country

France was the country in the Eurozone with the highest volume of outstanding loans to financial corporations. That accounts for loans to all financial corporations except monetary financial institutions, insurance corporations, and pension funds. France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy were the countries with a volume of outstanding of that type of loan that exceeded the 150 billion euros mark. The value of loans to non-financial corporations in the Eurozone has a similar distribution, with the largest economies at the top of the ranking.
