Interwiewed during the spring of 2021, the most common transportation-related barrier experienced by people with disabilities or long-term health conditions in Canada was the waiting line (34.9 percent), which includes a lack of accessible seating as well as a lack of other service or queuing options. The second most common type of barrier was using websites to make reservations or look for information (30 percent).

"For each type of barrier, respondents were asked to indicate how often they encountered it, either "never", "rarely", "sometimes", "often", or "always", or if it did not apply (i.e., the type of barrier was not relevant to their experience or condition). The overall calculation of barriers includes those who reported encountering at least one type of barrier "rarely", "sometimes", "often", or "always"."
