The lion's share of short-form video content consumed in India in 2022 was in Indian languages other than English and Hindi. In fact, Hindi and regional language content accounted for 85 percent of short form video consumption that year. The government imposed ban on Tik Tok resulted in several domestic video platforms, such as Roposo and Josh, emerging within the Indian short video market.
