When looking at the domestic travel and tourism expenditure in European Union member countries (EU-27) and the United Kingdom, Germany recorded the highest figure in 2019 and 2023. In the latter year, spending by domestic travelers in the country amounted to nearly 437 billion U.S. dollars, exceeding the figure from 2019. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom, France, and Italy followed in the ranking in 2023.
