In 2022, research and development (R&D) spending by large companies in South Korea amounted to around 55.17 trillion South Korean won. Middle-market enterprises and venture businesses each spent around 12 trillion won, followed by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with around 9.4 trillion won.
