Anime watching frequency of Japanese high school students by gender 2022

According to a survey conducted in Japan in December 2022, 62 percent of male high school students watch anime at least once per week or more, compared to 48 percent of female high school students. The share of respondents who stated not to watch anime at all was higher among girls than among boys.
