As of 2021, 39 percent of leading organizations worldwide reported having been influenced by an third-party cyber incident in the past two years. However, 55 percent of responding organizations have not been affected by such incidents. Another six percent of respondents didn't know if any cyber incident happened in their organization in the past two years.

The survey was anonymous and non-attributable to the respondent or their respective organizations. There were a total of 79 responses from 20 countries and 14 industries."
