Every tenth Russian bought a combination of potato fries and cheese sauce at McDonald's in the first quarter of 2022. That was the most popular meal at the fast food chain, followed by a cheeseburger and a Big Mac. The U.S. company McDonald's closed its stores in Russia in May 2022 and sold them to a local investor. From June 2022, the restaurants opened under a new brand name "Vkusno i Tochka."
