In the first quarter of 2022, the online sales value of baijiu on China's leading e-commerce platforms amounted to 8.12 billion yuan, dropping slightly from 9.12 billion yuan in the previous quarter. Nearly 40 percent of online baijiu sales in that quarter came from high-end baijiu, which retails for over 2,000 yuan per kilogram.
