In the second quarter of 2021, the total trade value in services of member economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) amounted to 925 billion U.S. dollars. This marked a decrease from around 1.09 trillion U.S. dollars in the second quarter of 2019. Especially travel-related services experienced a significant decrease in trade value within the surveyed period, attributable to travel restrictions due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
