Most of the electric vehicle models available in the United States, China, and the European Union were sport utility vehicles. In the United States, this vehicle segment represented around 60 percent of the total EV models.

utility vehicle (SUV) built on a passenger car platform. Large cars include E and F segments and multi-purpose vehicles. Vehicle models do not include the various trim levels."
