The installed capacity of solar net-metering projects in Puerto Rico continuously increased in recent years, with a more than ten-fold growth between 2014 and 2021. In the latter year, residential projects contributed a capacity of 164.8 megawatts, or two-thirds of the total installed capacity. Residential projects have recorded the largest share of capacity since 2018.
