In contrast, only 27 percent of representative respondents from the total Australian population believed that this is not possible.

Survey question:
"Do you think it is possible or not possible for Australia to have a good relationship with China and a good relationship with the United States at the same time?"
The survey was conducted among 1,401 citizens, permanent residents, and visa holders (excluding tourist visa holders) in Australia who identified as having Chinese ancestry and had resided in Australia for at least one year.
The survey figures for the Australian population serving as comparison were taken from a different poll with 2,222 participants.
