Share of sexual offences solved in Sweden 2012-2022

Annually around 20 percent of the sexual offences committed in Sweden were solved. The clearance rate was at its lowest in 2017, when only 16 percent of the cases were solved, and at its highest in 2014, reaching 25 percent that year. In 2022, 21 percent of the reported cases of sexual offences were solved. The same year, there were reported nearly 24,000 sexual offences in Sweden.
