According to a global study conducted in the second quarter of 2024, a lower share of affluent consumers aged over 40 years old had purchased art and collectibles in the previous 12 months compared to those aged 18 to 39. Overall, roughly 35 percent of respondents older than 40 years reported having bought art or collectibles within the past year, while around half of the surveyed affluent consumers aged 18 to 39 did the same.
