Between 2015 and 2021, the annual volume of khat seized by the customs in Sweden fluctuated between over 5,000 kilos in 2019 and 1,500 kilos in 2021. Most of the khat seized was dried. In 2021, Swedish Customs seized nearly 1,400 kilos of dried and 167 kilos of fresh khat.
