In 2023, China's inland river ports handled a total of 3.46 billion metric tons of inbound cargo and 2.68 billion metrics tons of outbound cargo. By freight type, about 1083 million metric tons of mineral building materials were processed inbound, while nearly 945 million metric tons were treated outbound.
