According to a survey conducted in South Korea from late 2020 to early 2021, the most common reason for doctors to offer telemedicine services was because of demand from patients, with around 61 percent giving that as the cause. Other common reasons included fear of being exposed to coronavirus (COVID-19) at 57.1 percent, and being able to ensure that patients received continuous medical care at 30.6 percent.
