According to a survey of creators in the United States carried out in March 2024, approximately 84 percent of users who made videos for the internet or to post on social media did not make any money from their content in the past 12 months. By comparison, around 16 percent of respondents choose to monetize their content and managed to earn some money from the video content they created and posted online as of the first quarter of 2024.
