According to a survey carried out in May 2021, awareness and knowledge of crowdfunding varies slightly based on the net income of the respondents. Based on the survey, there was a higher number of respondents with a net income of 4,000 euros or more who were familiar with crowdfunding. 85.9 percent of the respondents with a net income of 4,000 euros or more heard of crowdfunding, and 58.3 percent of these respondents also knew what it was in 2021. In contrast, 69.2 percent of the respondents with a net income of 750 to 1,500 euros heard of crowdfunding, and 43.2 percent of these respondents had a general knowledge of what it was.
