According to a survey of management and IT professionals in Italian companies conducted in January 2023, about four in ten respondents reported their company having been attacked by this type of malware. Meanwhile, around half of the companies had never suffered a ransomware attack. These figures have changed significantly since 2022, when the share of companies that encountered ransomware attacks was 27 percent.
