In an April 2022 survey conducted among Southeast Asian women about reasons for wanting a child, 80 percent of Indonesian respondents shared the sentiment that a family was only complete with children.
In the same survey, women from Indonesia also showed the highest level of certainty towards having a child in the future among the selected countries.
