By May 2022 in Canada, the businesses or organizations most likely to expect their employees to work exclusively or primarily on-site in the next three months were those created less than two years ago, and those older than 20 years. Conversely, the companies most likely to have a frequent use of remote work were those aged between three and ten years.

"The target population for this survey is all active establishments on the Business Register (BR), which have an address in Canada, and which have employees. The following subsectors and sectors according to the North American Industry Classification System are excluded from the target population.
