Countries where shoppers last bought online 2023

China is the market where most consumers worldwide made their last cross-border online purchase, according to a survey conducted in September 2023 in 41 countries globally. Brazilian and Chilean cross-border shoppers took the lead, with up to 73 percent of respondents having bought from China the last time they purchased abroad. Digital buyers in South Korea and Canada primarily purchased from the U.S. In turn, Germany was the main market where shoppers in Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, and Finland last bought from when shopping abroad.
