By May 2022, it was projected that approximately two out of every three people living in Canada would be working exclusively on-site over the next three months. However, workers living in rural areas were much more likely to be expected to work on-site than those working in urban areas. Nearly one-quarter of the latter planned to work either exclusively or primarily remotely, or the same number of hours remotely and on-site, compared to less than 15 percent of rural workers.

As a result, those three months could range from April 1 to August 6, 2022, depending on when the business responded."
