As of May 2022, nearly two out of three Canadians were expected to work exclusively on-site in the next three months. This proportion was higher in the provinces of New Brunswick, Saskatchewan, and Nova Scotia. Conversely, nearly one in ten people working in Ontario planned to work exclusively remotely, and 7.2 percent planned to work mostly remotely. In the same province, more than nine percent of workers planned to work the same number of hours in person and remotely.

The source adds the following information: "The results are based on the survey that was in collection from April 1 to May 6, 2022, and respondents were asked what their expectations would be over the next three-month period. As a result, those three months could range from April 1 to August 6, 2022, depending on when the business responded."
"The target population for this survey is all active establishments on the Business Register (BR), which have an address in Canada, and which have employees.
