Opinions on who the main target was in the 2011 Norway attacks in Norway in 2021

On July 22, 2011, the right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik killed 77 people in terrorist attacks in Oslo and on the island of Utøya in Norway. 10 years later, two researchers at the University of Oslo studied Norwegians' opinion on who had been the target of the attack. 60 percent of the respondents stated that it was an attack on the Norwegian democracy. In the eyes of the researchers, this caused the political aspect of the attack against the Norwegian Labour Party to disappear into the background. Nevertheless, 55 percent of the respondents said that the Labour Party had been a target too.
