The youngest groups experienced the largest relative losses of employment during the second quarter of 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic had its biggest impact in the Spanish job market. By contrast, compared to the second quarter of 2019, the number of workers aged 55 years or more was three percent larger, making it the only age group that experienced a growth in employment.
