In 2020, the segment dedicated to the production of music videos, commercials, and other audiovisual materials in Mexico generated about 750 million Mexican pesos in revenue, down from 1.41 billion pesos a year earlier – a decline of almost 47 percent amidst the COVID-19 outbreak. Similarly, the revenue of movie distributors in Mexico decreased by 50 percent in 2020.
