Gas power production capacity in Europe 2000-2023

In 2023, gas power capacity in Europe amounted to roughly 403 gigawatts. This was an increase from the previous year, with gas power plant capacity having plateaued over the last four years. By comparison, global gas power capacity grew to more than 2.02 terawatts in 2023.
