Global selenium production volume 2016-2022

In 2022, the global output of selenium amounted to 3,735 metric tons. That was an increase of almost 16.8 percent when compared to the selenium production worldwide in 2018. 

Selenium is a nonmetal that has similar properties to arsenic. More than half of selenium consumption worldwide is attributable to glass production.
