The majority of Japanese consumers stockpiled food products for disasters and other emergencies as revealed in a survey conducted in November 2021. The leading product was drinking water, with more than 49 percent of consumers stocking water at home. Cup, instant, and dried noodles were the leading food prepared for emergency situations.
