According to a survey in October 2023, France has the highest share of active and casual lifestyle brand purchasers who intend to buy fewer products in order to live more sustainably, with 71 percent of respondents making this claim. The United States had the lowest share with 60 percent.

Responses were sampled and weighted to be demographically representative for their age groups according to published population statistics for age, gender, region, education, race, and income in the U.S., and age, gender, region, and education in the UK, Italy, Germany, and France.
The survey count breakdown is as follows: U.S. 6,053; UK 1,039; Italy 1,044; Germany 1,068; France 945.
