Play-to-earn games are a widely discussed trend in the gaming industry but are far from mainstream as of yet. A March 2024 survey of adults in the United States found that 47 percent of respondents were not at all interested in such games. Adults aged 35 to 54 years were most likely to be interested in such games, with 19 percent of respondents saying that they were very interested in the concept.
