Despite NFT (non-fungible tokens) creating lots of buzz online and offline, only a fraction of NFT-aware adults also know of NFT-related games. An October 2022 survey found that among U.S. adults who were familiar with NFT games, 42 percent had heard of Battle of the Guardians, followed by The Sandbox with a 40 percent awareness reach. NFT games have become popular in the gamefi world as a way to earn income, also known as play-to-earn.
