In 2020, the domestic consumption of coal in Indonesia for electricity was approximately 105 million metric tons. Indonesia's power generation largely depends on fossil fuels such as coal and oil. Indonesia's coal power expansion is expected to continue, if not accelerate, in the coming years, especially given the country's huge coal capacity expansion plan.
