According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2021, around 38 percent of men who hold a middle school degree or lower as well as 24 percent of women with a high school diploma report having experienced mental health problems at one point in their lives. The lifetime prevalence of mental disorders in men decreased by educational level, while there were no major changes for women.
