According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2021, around 49 percent of men and 30 percent of women who were divorced, separated or widowed reported having had a mental health problem at one point in their life. This group reported higher prevalence rates across both genders than respondents who were in relationships or were single. Men reported higher rates than women across all relationship status categories.
