As of April 2022, there were 26.8 million Facebook users in the United States aged under 25 years, compared to 151.5 million users of the social network who were aged over 25 years. Over the coming years, users aged 25 and under will continue to decline. In 2023, it is forecast that 15 percent of Facebook users will be under 25 years old, as younger social media users continue to opt for video-based apps, such as TikTok.
