Apple app tracking transparency implementation rate 2022, by app category

In April 2021, Apple released its iOS 14.5 version, introducing the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, which gives users the freedom to enable or disable tracking. According to data gathered in March 2022, approximately eight in 10 mobile iOS apps had adopted the ATT framework. Over 90 percent of gaming iOS apps adopted the ATT, while 84 percent of shopping apps, and food and drinks apps implemented the privacy framework.
